Matariki Rap

WALA:The seven stars of matariki
Today I wrote a Rap with 2 of my friends. They're names are Tevita and Metui. This experience was easy for me because rhyming and flowing is kind of what I like to do.The challenge for me today was coming up with rhymes that relate to matariki. The part I found easy was saying it.Here is the rap my group came up with.
This is a rap about Matariki
A cluster of stars shining over Auckland city
It comes in either late may or june
Shining bright in the night just like a full moon

For many of the Maori it’s a new year
Light shining from the sky like a chandelier
Helping the crops grow for the people
Planting them is pretty easy and simple

They are way past mercury and mars
Metui is gonna tell you what they are
In Matariki there are seven of the stars
Shining brighter in the sky like lights from a car

It may be winter but we still celebrate
Waiting for the stars we just can not wait
Having a feast with so much to eat
Sit down relax and take a seat

Think about the stuff you're gonna learn
Let's go in a circle and wait for your turn
Tell us what you know about matariki

Here's a hint it's not only in Auckland city
