Migration Presentation on India(Sos)

Reflections on presentation:
So today we had to present our powerpoint presentation. It was really scary trying to speak in front of my class. Some things I did well was being able to finish most slides and be able to present it clearly to my class. On the other hand, I could probably speak a bit louder and face my body to the audience instead of facing my back, but it would make sense because I had to read my work. What helped me get through my work easily was from the help of the audience. They were really quiet and supportive as I was speaking. But overall it was a really good experience and India is a amazing country. I really like learning about the way they live and their cultural traditions. One thing I can improve on as an audience is to manage myself better while other people are presenting.

Jacinda Adern News

This article is about how Jacinda Adern reacted to the shooting in Christchurch. She went to a place with lots of Muslims wearing a Hijab. She has other countries praising to her. First she had people hating on her and some disagreed with the decisions she made. but on the other hand some were happy with her. But she has caught the attention of "Negar Mortazavi" a Iranian-American writer and disagreed to a Australian law maker's comment on Muslims and New Zealand. She has made it on the Vogue magazine. In the future, personally I think she will become a amazing Prime Minister.

Empathy-Christchurch

To me empathy means realise what has happened and to do something about it. It is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. For example, people were visiting the mosques place of worship for Muslim followers, praying for their families, giving their condolences through social media, donating money "give a little" and giving flowers to hospitals. This is a beautiful act of kindness towards others, we can show more empathy to others by helping out more in the community and making good decisions. Showing empathy to all people is good because others will feel safe and more welcomed.Image result for mongrel mob visit muslims

Climate change

For the past few days we have been reading a text on how Climate change has affected Kiribati. It is about how families in Kiribati are struggling with living with climate change, so some has been forced to move and others have decided to go find a safer and better place for them and there family to live in. The Australian Government has studied on how Climate Change is affecting our pacific islands, also found out that Kiribati could have a slight chance of being underwater. Most Micronesian people have had complaints on how bigger countries in the world may forget about them and that we should not be worried.Image 2. Kiribati residents paddle to a nearby village called Abatao. During high tide, villagers must travel by canoe, not foot. Traditional Kiribati houses are made from wood from the trunk of coconut and pandanus trees are lashed together with string made from the fibers of coconut husks. Made In Taiwan

For the past few weeks we were watching a video about how 2 grown men
were on their way to find their ancestors. This documentary is about how
Oscar and Nathan got their DNA samples and are on their way to find where
they ancestors were originated from. What made this so interesting was that
Nathan's parents were both originated from different countries. Image result for taiwan

My Coat of Arms

My name is Tai Lance Aumau Faamita, but I prefer being called Aumau.

I am 11 years old and I am a true and proud Samoan. I have graduated from
Tamaki Primary/intermediate school in 2018. I am now attending Tamaki College.

For the past few days we have been working on a special shield in Social Science with Miss Robertson.
My shield has 6 element that means the most to me. The first half of the shield has the word ‘FAITH”
and a Cross under it. It means that I have faith towards church and family. The second half has the
word “Courage” and a football under. It means I love sports and I love to show courage towards sports.

The last 2 parts has half a heart on each and it represents how I love everyone even if they dont
like me and i'll accept everyone for who they are.

The Whole Year Reflections

Image result for 2018
2018 has been a great year for me, cause I have been able to accomplish being friends with everyone in our class. 3 words I will use to describe this year would be memorable, achievable and challenging. 1 achievement I was most proud of is being able to be confident around everyone in our class. I discovered that if I put my mind into I will be able to complete task faster. The biggest impact in my life is probably my parents because they have always been helping me be the best I am. 5 people that I spend most of my time is with Toma, Deme, Amon, Suave and Tevita.

My pod of friends has helped me achieved lots, including growling. They have always got my back when I was seriously in trouble. Something i found out about my group of friend was that throughout the year we have changed from best friends to brothers.
